Ruinaulta -- The Swiss Grand Canyon of the Rhine Gorge
The Ruinaulta (Rheinschlucht / Rhine Gorge) is a 13-km-long canyon between Ilanz and Reichenau in Graubunden, carved by the Rhine through the debris of a massive prehistoric landslide -- called the "Swiss Grand Canyon" for its 400-meter-deep limestone walls, it is best experienced by rafting, kayaking, or from the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) trains that run along its rim.
