The Matterhorn is not visible from Saas-Fee (it is visible from Zermatt), but the Dom (4,545 m) -- the highest peak entirely within Switzerland -- more than compensates. Budget travelers and visitors seeking a quieter atmosphere often prefer Saas-Fee.
